A traveler and student of life

Saundra is a problem solver, trouble shooter and sometime troublemaker.  To paraphrase her hero John Lewis, she strives to get into ‘good trouble, necessary trouble’ when required!

This has been the story of her life.

At an early age she discovered her gift for convening disparate groups of people at one table and building common ground. This skill led to a 30+ year career in television which extended from writing, producing, and video editing, to mentoring and building relationships and partnerships between individuals and communities.

Since retiring from the corporate media field, Saundra has leveraged her expertise and perennial work with nonprofits into coaching, leading, strategic planning, and consulting with leaders across industries.

Her foundation lies in the pillars of speaking, teaching, and writing. Saundra’s passion for both people and process has made her a much sought-after coach, facilitator, and cheerleader.

Inspired and outraged by the murder of George Floyd in 2020, Saundra reignited her passion for writing and storytelling by creating performative poetry. In this fourth quarter of her life, she has emerged as a spoken word poet!

Her wanderlust and curiosity have taken her around the world, putting travel in the center of her private (and often not so private) life. She shares her journeys to inspire, encourage, and sometimes demand others to reach beyond their grasp, rest, resist and say yes to life!

“Those who say it can’t be done are usually interrupted by others doing it.”

— James Baldwin
